Lantern Post
About Lantern Post
Lantern Post is a free digital greeting card with a secret inside: you light a card and hide a verified reveal — a song, a story, a verse — and the person you send it to taps a glowing lantern to open it. No account, no app, nothing to install.
That is what you’ll see the first time. Here is what we actually built.
Lantern Post begins as a greeting card. Underneath, it is something new: a sentiment communication platform — a verified, private-by-design channel where emotion travels as a tailored, sealed gift, and every light received can be passed on.
Most digital messages arrive naked: a link, a thumbnail, a hope that it isn’t spam. We started from the opposite premise — that a message carrying love, gratitude, or encouragement deserves the same engineering care as a message carrying money. So every reveal a card can hold comes from a verified home, checked when you light the card and checked again in the very moment it is opened. The link that carries your card is verified and unlisted. A printed QR opens the same verified card on every scan. On an internet where every unexpected link is a small act of suspicion, a lantern is a link that has already earned the tap.
And because the message is a gift, the platform refuses to charge the people it’s for. Receiving is free forever. Opening a card requires nothing — no account, no app. The person who opens your card receives a lantern of their own to send onward, free. We keep almost nothing: no recipient tracking, no analysis of what you write, personal lines never logged. Our privacy page is short because there is little to disclose.
Lantern Post is made by PI GenAI LLC and grows from a family of works about carrying light — the Wick of Wit books, The Carried Light, the I Appreciate You affirmations, and NeoAesop’s fables — where each tale is a lantern with three doors. The app is the newest door.
Light is not meant to be stared at. It is meant to be carried — and to be handed on.
